Genesis

The Bible is the most influential book ever written. It is God’s story. Within the Bible, Genesis is the most important book because it is the foundation on which the rest of the Bible is built. The title comes from the first word in Hebrew which is “bereshith” translated “genesis” and means origin or beginning. This book gives vital information concerning both the origin and the meaning of all things. Genesis tells how and why time began with Revelation revealing how time will come to its conclusion. The 64 books between Genesis and Revelation tell God’s story of how He worked within (I could add in spite of) human culture and history as He moved His plan of redemption forward making the way, through Jesus, to restore the broken relationship between God and those created in His image.
